This week, I have had some clients who are suffering from a lack of energy, feeling like they are running on empty. For me, I love energetic healing and the conversations this brings up with my clients. Our energy can tell us a lot about what's going on in our bodies, minds, and our worlds.
Health is usually about finding balance. When we are out of balance, either physically, mentally, or energetically, we find we develop blockages or a lack of flow through our bodies. This 'stuckness' or stagnant energy can then create illness or low energy. Sometimes a little daily self-care can bring us back to our natural state in no time, but sometimes we need a little extra help to get us back on track.
Energetic healing restores harmony in the body's natural energy fields. You have probably heard of acupuncture and reiki. These are both types of therapy that work to restore balance in the body. They work to recharge and clear out our system of any negativity, with the result of relieving pain and dis-ease caused by blockages.
There are other therapies that you might not have realised work with energy. Reflexology, for example, frees up blocked energy and promotes healing by stimulating pressure points on the feet, hands, face, and ears.
Massage: Yep, even massage is an energy healing practice. It releases tension in the muscles, encourages the flow of lymph, and allows for deep relaxation.
It can be a little hard for those who haven't tried this type of healing to comprehend the process and the results. If this is you, don't worry, I'm about to explain things and how they can benefit your mind and body.
Root energy
There are many different types of healing energies all over the world. Most of them have ancient roots traced back thousands of years to ancient civilisations and cultures. Whilst these cultures used different modalities, the healers understood that balancing the energy and the emotions was key to maintaining health and vitality.
The same principles still apply in modern energy therapies and practices today, creating many benefits. In fact, this type of healing has been known to help with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, fear, fatigue, insomnia, allergies, digestive issues and much, much more!
Like gravity, you don't need to know the details or even understand the concept before moving on this journey. Just remember that everything in this world is energetic, including you!
Restoring balance
The outcome of your chosen therapy will vary depending on factors like your current health, how long you have been suffering, and even the approach taken to fix it. Beginning each experience with an open mind allows you to really explore the therapy, yourself and the benefits.
Here are some available therapies that are used to restore mind, body and soul.
Acupuncture
During an acupuncture session, tiny needles are inserted into specific points in the body corresponding to energy lines, known as meridians. This produces a release of endorphins to encourage natural healing and can be beneficial for pain relief. For my fertility clients, this will also clear blockages and lead to an increased chance of conceiving.
Chakra Healing
Our body is made up of energy centres, known as chakras. When your seven chakras are in balance, your mind, body, and soul are also in harmony. However, many of us live in a state of imbalance, so chakra healing will allow energy flow to equalise throughout the body, creating a natural healing effect.
Crystal healing
Due to their energetic nature, crystals are often used for healing. These stones can be used in many ways, either on or around the body. They work to unlock, bring protection, healing, abundance, and love into our lives.
Feng Shui
This ancient Chinese practice uses the arrangement of your living space to achieve a balance and flow of energy to support a healthy lifestyle.
Reiki
A Reiki practitioner uses their hands to channel positive energy into a person's body and chakras. A reiki healer can perform this Japanese technique, either in person or over distance (online, for example), so it's flexible enough to do it anywhere. Reiki is known to reduce stress as well as encourage relaxation and promote healing.
Try it for yourself
Our journey with energy healing is important, but there are several things we can do at home as part of our daily self-care that can look after our energy.
Smudge your space
The use of sage and other sacred herbs will help you to clear negative energy from your home. You can do this by lighting your chosen bundle, letting it smoke, and then using the smoke to clear yourself and your energetic space.
Take salt-water baths
Not only can a good soak be relaxing, but it can also detoxify the body and banish any negativity. Fill your bath with good-grade organic Epsom salts or bath salts and feel yourself start to relax and release that stagnant energy.
Try meditation
If we feel a little lost, tired, anxious or depleted, guided meditations can help replenish our energy. There are many meditations online to heal the mind, body and soul through sound and visualisations.
Now you know all you need to know about this type of healing; all you need is an open heart, mind and enough curiosity to give it a go.
Reiki is love, love is wholeness,
wholeness is balance, balance is well-being,
well-being is freedom from disease
